JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform hands-on assessments on pets to recommend services and build trust with pet owners.

• Perform dog grooming services to breed standards and to clients’ personal preferences.

• Provide full-service grooms when applicable; Bathe and brush pets hair and eliminate mats, clean pets ears and eyes, brush pets teeth, clip nails safely, apply styling products, express pets anal glands.

• Manage groom shop work schedule to ensure departure mes are met or clients nofied in advance of unavoidable delays.

• Recommend suitable products to customers.

• Ensure grooming staons and self-serve staons are clean, stocked with supplies tools and ready for use.

• Follow safety procedures for pets and associates at all mes. Ask for assistance when a pet is stressed, very difficult to manage or showing any signs of injury.

• Maintain a pleasant and posive atude.

• Ensure a safe and clean work environment.

• Exhibit an ability to get along with others.

• Practice punctual and reliable attendance.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Two years of experience in pet grooming.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Possess and maintain a valid driver license and safe driving record.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment.

• Demonstrate a commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service.

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

• Demonstrate proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.

• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Certification through the National Dog Groomer Association of America.

• Exhibit a high level of knowledge in one or more of the following areas: pet grooming, animal behavior, pet feed & supplies or any related knowledge.

• Experience with Epicor or similar retail POS software.

SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position (schedule may vary). 40 hours/week. Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$41,600 – $62,400 annually. This is an hourly based position, plus commissions. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
